Pure Pwnage Android app l33t Speaker beta demonstrated

At Fan Expo, Geoff Lapaire of Pure Pwnage was kind enough to give us a look at the still-in-beta app that they’re developing for Android phones (an update to the already available iPhone app).  The soundboard app, l33t Speaker, will have both basic and Pro versions, and Geoff shows it off on his Nexus One.  The soundboard is a popular app category, but sound quality can sometimes be an issue.  Since this is an official app, not only is the sound quality going to be top notch, but they’ve actually…

EA officially announces Battlefield 3

Taking a page of the Halo book, EA has announced that if you pre-order the Medal of Honor Limited Edition, which is released on October 12, 2010, you’ll get an invitation to the Battlefield 3 beta. Steam itself will require OS X 10.5 or higher, while Valve Source games will required Leopard, or Snow Leopard to run.  You can also…

I’m a huge fan of Boxee which is, outside of Windows Media Center, my favourite way to access media on my TV.  Boxee, a social networking aware media center, has been in alpha for a long time, and Monday night’s beta announcement marked the next step for the company that wants to be your media portal to the world. With the announcement of the beta program (chock full of screenshots), Boxee has been given a new look along with new functionality.  The menu system appears to have more polish, making…
