Yesterday, the second trailer for Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World was released after Edgar Wright had decided to withhold its premiere until his Twitter campaign reaped a desired 100,000 ‘likes’ on Facebook. It was a little disappointing to find out that he was clamouring for ‘likes’ on a site that many people have moved on from. After wrapping up shooting of Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, Edgar Wright’s mini film fest had one last night at the Bloor Cinema, with Pilgrim director of photography Bill Pope as the guest of honour. On tap were two movies that Pope worked on, Army of Darkness and Team America: World Police, and between the screenings Ryan got a chance to talk with Pope on a wide range of subjects.

Edgar Wright is coming back to the Bloor Cinema on July 26th

Edgar Wright is coming back to the Bloor Cinema on July 26th, for a tribute to his Scott Pilgrim cinematographer, Bill Pope (who is best known for shooting The Matrix and latter two Spider-Man movies). Principal photography on Scott Pilgrim vs. the World is set to finally wrap up the first week of August, so this will be Edgar’s final Toronto event. rgbFilter will be there to cover the event, so check back for some video footage after the 26th.
