2010 Toronto Zombie Walk – UPDATED

Just a friendly reminder that the 8th annual Toronto Zombie Walk is only a few days away, starting Saturday October 23rd at pm.  The mass of undead corpses seems to grow every year, and with that, the Zombie Walk now requires registration (online registration now closed – see the site for in-person registration), mainly for city logistics purposes.  Although you can register on the day, your best bet is to register in advance to save time before the event.  If my number is any indicator, they’ve already surpassed 6000 officially…

Toronto After Dark Film Festival announces lineup

The Toronto After Dark Film Festival has opened its online box office and released their 2010 lineup.  This is the 5th year for the TADFF, which runs from August 13th to 20th at the legendary Bloor Cinema.  TADFF’s eclectic mix of horror, sci-fi and other genre pictures often includes a number of films that rarely get Canadian screening, and it’s good to see they’re keeping up with that tradition. Toronto Underground Cinema opening night event on May 14th

The Toronto Underground Cinema, formerly the Golden Classics Cinema, on 186 Spadina Ave, is having an opening night FREE double bill of Clue, and Big Trouble in Little China! Edgar Wright is coming back to the Bloor Cinema on July 26th

Edgar Wright is coming back to the Bloor Cinema on July 26th, for a tribute to his Scott Pilgrim cinematographer, Bill Pope (who is best known for shooting The Matrix and latter two Spider-Man movies). Principal photography on Scott Pilgrim vs. the World is set to finally wrap up the first week of August, so this will be Edgar’s final Toronto event. rgbFilter will be there to cover the event, so check back for some video footage after the 26th.
