Gamercamp Lv2 – For Love Of The Game

Gamercamp Lv2 marks the return of the festival that celebrates indie gaming in Toronto.  Last years inaugural event sold out, and this year looks like it’s going to be even bigger.  Spanning 2 days, Gamercamp kicks off at the Toronto Underground Cinema with a number of keynotes from developers  and some short films on video games, curated by Brandon Boyer.

Gamercamp 2010 is jammed with badassery: over two days, we’ve got 25 speakers, blazing new demos, 3 arcades including the amazing Torontrons created by Hand Eye, and even a PJs and cereal brekkie Sunday morning. Our line-up is filled with goodness like the Sword & Sworcery team, Jim Zubkavich of UDON, Stéphane Boutin of Scott Pilgrim v The World: the Game, and Mathew Kumar of EDGE and Gamasutra—and those are just our keynotes.

The night wraps up with the 1UP Bash, which features 8 bit band Anamanaguchi, who behind theme song for the Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game.

There’s be lots of hands-on gaming action on the second day, and if you’re a local game developer who wants to show off your work in progress, Gamercamp is also taking submissions to be showcased at the event. You can get all the details here.
