Last night Valve released the third part of their “The Sacrifice” online comic that details the events in between Left for Dead 1 and 2, the ‘Passing’ DLC, and the “The Sacrifice” DLC (for both the first AND second games) coming on October 5th. Valve has announced that “The Sacrifice” DLC for both Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2 will be released on October 5th, 2010. The new DLC further bridges the gap between the two games, and tells the story leading up to the demise of **** (name redacted for spoilers sake). After some minor delays, the PC version of the Left 4 Dead 2 demo was finally available yesterday evening to those who’ve pre-orderd the game. The Xbox 360 demo was also available, it’ll be another week or more before it’s available for those who haven’t pre-ordered. I fired up a local server so Dr Squid and myself, along with a friend, could give the two map co-op experience a whirl or two.
