Walking Dead dispatches

AMC and the producers of The Walking Dead are managing to keep fans updated on the series production almost daily. In the latest round, there are a couple of notable interviews on the official blog, including one with producer Gale Anne Hurd of The Terminator and Aliens fame, as well as the director of the second episode, Michelle MacLaren (who also directed, among others, the 3rd season opener for the brilliant Breaking Bad). Walking Dead: Zombie School

The folks over at AMC are certainly doing a good job of using the Walking Dead series blog as a production diary.  Besides some of the make up work that they released images of, they’re including more and more behind the scenes featurettes and shorts.  The latest is “Zombie School“, where the zombie extras are actually trained in zombie choreography.  They’ve also put up the first production still (the image above, natch) and you can see the high res version, as well as the video, after the break…

The Walking Dead enters production

It’s no secret that The Walking Dead is one of our favourite ongoing comics here at rgb HQ, so when it was announced a TV series based on it was in the pipeline, we couldn’t be happier.  A TV series based on the book could be potentially awesome, if handled properly, and eveything seems to be lining up in that direction.  Although AMC’s list of original series is short, their track record is impeccable, what with Mad Men, and the best show currently on TV, Breaking Bad.  Breaking Bad in…
