Leaked Dead Rising 2 vid appears to be the real deal
Shaky McCameraPhone is at it again. Recently this video appeared on YouTube claiming to be the leaked trailer for the upcoming Dead Rising 2.
If you’re a horror-survivalist and a fan of anything Undead, then it’s pretty much a lock that Dead Rising was, for you, some of the most fun you’ve had playing video games in a very long time…provided you’re a 360 owner. Now, after much speculation, Capcom has indeed announced that DR2 is in fact in development, and headed out of the mall and into the streets of a very Vegas-like environment. Based on the screenies, the YouTube video seems to be genuine.
Also confirmed is the rumour that the game will be coming to the PS3 and the PC.
The CanCon is strong in this one; the sequel will not be produced by Mega Man’s dad, Keiji Inafune. Instead, Vancouver-based Blue Castle Games will be helming the project. Blue Castle is the team responsible for bringing us The Bigs and the recently released MLB Front Office Manager (a game that appears to combine the non-stop action of baseball with the dizzying thrills of tedious paperwork).
No news yet on release dates, but if you’re a Wii owner looking to get your hands covered in black undead Zombie guk, you’re in luck; Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop for the Wii will be released on February 24, 2009.
