Bell HTC Legend discontinued

It was only a couple of months ago when Bell released the HTC Legend (just after the Virgin branded one), an Android phone with a great aluminum unibody design and a gorgeous AMOLED screen.  Now it looks like that the Bell version of the phone has met an untimely demise, possibly due to the inability of HTC to get enough of those AMOLED screens out.

Please be advised that, due to ongoing supply constraints from the manufacturer, the HTC Legend for Bell is effective immediately being discontinued and SKUs for ordering are closed.  Clients who are interested in the HTC Legend should be redirected to Bell’s fantastic line-up of Android smartphones.  Any remaining units in store should continue to be be offered to clients until inventory is depleted…

You can read the full text in the screenshot above, cribbed from mobilesyrup.com.  As long as Bell has stock, they’ll keep selling, but that won’t be for long.  There’s no word yet whether this applies to the Virgin model as well, but I can’t see how it doesn’t.
