TCAF 2011 on May 7th and 8th

The Toronto Comic Arts Festival returns to the Toronto Reference Library this weekend.  The now annual festival, unlike a typical comic convention, focuses on the diversity of work being done in the medium beyond the standard superhero fare, not that there’s anythign wrong with superheroes.  You also won’t see a lot of cosplay, or 20 foot tall marketing props from the next summer blockbuster film.  I don’t mean that as a dig against the comic cons, but TCAF really is a unique event, and if you haven’t attended, I highly recommend it.

Featured Guests this year include David Boswell – creator of “Reid Fleming: World’s Toughest Milkman”, Chester Brown, Chris Ware and many more.  You can see the full list of TCAF 2011 guests and exhibitors on the Who’s Coming page.  As an added bonus, the Hand Eye Society will be debuting their latest indie arcade cabinet, the Torontron High Roller, and a number of indie video games will be making an appearance.

All in all, TCAF is the place to be this weekend…
