Windows Phone 7 NoDo update delayed until late March

The long awaited NoDo update for Windows Phone 7 has been delayed until late March. Originally rumoured to be coming out in January, Microsoft never mentioned a specific timeframe until Mobile World Congress, when Steve Ballmer said early March with an expectation that it would roll out March 8th.

Netflix on Boxee Box – Happy Valentine’s Day

It’s no secret that there are Boxee Box fans here at RGB. The coolest looking little media player has proven itself to be a very flexible workhorse. Today, Boxee CEO Avner Ronen posted that the newest update has started rolling out, and with it, the long-awaited Netflix compatibility for both the US and Canada.

Meanwhile, in other news…

Apple released iOS 4 for the iPhone 3G and 3GS yesterday, just in time for Thursday’s release of the iPhone 4 in the US. More details can be found here at Apple, though I assume if you have an iPhone, you have already hooked it up to iTunes and downloaded this update, which, in the words of Apple, adds -
over 100 new features…the free iOS 4 Software Update lets you do some amazing things.
Wow, the old iPhone OS must have been pretty bad if they managed to add 100 features …

While there has been no official anouncement from either Motorola or Telus, a post on the Alldroid.org forums tonight said that the Android 2.1 update was finally released yesterday. At the moment it seems the update must be done with the Motorola software updater tool, found here – there have been no reports of an OTA update yet. Since I own a Milestone I will report on how the update went soon!

If you use Firefox, and haven’t yet got the update notification, verison 3.6 of the Mozilla Foundation’s popular web browser has been unleashed for Windows, Mac and Linux users.  Although freshly minted, in my limited testing it does seem snappier than earlier versions, though with my standard 15 tabs open, memory usage hardly seems addressed.
