Toronto Zombie Walk 2010

2010 marks an impressive 8 years that the Toronto Zombie Walk has been up and running (or shambling).   Although there’s still over two months to go until the undead take to the streets of Toronto again, there’s been a change that people should take note of.  This marks the first year that they have instituted a registration process.  It’s free and easy, but with thousands showing up every year, they need to get a head count so the city can allocate the proper resources.

Due to the overwhelming number of walking dead in attendance last year (an estimated 5000!!) we are forced to start a registration process…..I know what you’re thinking~ Frig That! But, I can assure you~ the walk will remain free! It’s just a way that we can tell the city how many people are coming, and where they are coming from. You can help us show the City of Toronto that the event is worthwhile by signing up.

Coincidentally, I ran into Thea Munster (founder of the walk) last night at the Toronto After Dark Film Festival, and she mentioned that everyone who registers will be given a cool toe tag as an identifier.  The walk is tentatively scheduled for Octorber 23rd at 3pm, starting again at Trinity Bellwoods park.  Of course, you can get all the details, including how to register, at the official site.
