Too soon? “Balloon Boy” game takes pointless news story, turns it into pointless online fun
Just because I think it’s funny…
Hot on the heels of the greatest non-story in recent memory comes Balloon Boy: The Game, in which our hero Falcon Heene attempts to glide his balloon to safety while shooting stars at seagulls and rainbows, all the while evading capture from media and government helicopters and other would-be saviours.
As a player, your goal is to see “how many $$$ of taxpayer money can you waste?” If you can get past the vaguely passive-aggressive political jab, just see the game for what it is: a great way to sit at your desk and pretend you’re working for the last 10 minutes of a Friday.
