BTW the reason some developers are ‘on Apple’s side’ about the App Store is that they are making money hand over fist by getting access to Apple’s walled garden, which they cannot practically access any other way, so as long as *they’ve* been accepted they have a strong vested interest in downplaying what is happening to the developers who don’t. However, some very high profile Mac developers have publically stated that they refuse to even submit anything to Apple under these conditions, and that’s actually really significant. They are not even going to try, and have scrapped their pre-existing plans to dip a toe in this market.
