Bell Galaxy S launches tomorrow with event at Yonge and Eglinton
The new Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant super-phone launches tomorrow on Bell. After last nights amazing Metric street concert, put on by Samsung in Toronto to promote the phone, the interest in this Android phone is very high.
Bell has released the pricing details, and will it will be $149.95 on a 3-year term, $499.95 no contract, which are very good prices for such a powerful phone. With it’s super AMOLED 4″ screen, fast processor, and 16GB of storage, it compares very favorably to the iPhone 4, but is much better value in our opinion. If you compare the Galaxy S to the other Android handsets available in Canada, it is easily blows them all away, though the upcoming Telus HTC Desire will be strong competition for it.
To continue celebrating the launch of the phone, if the Metric concert wasn’t enough, Bell is holding an event, from 9 AM to 12 PM, at their Yonge & Eglinton Bell store (2323 Yonge Street). You can win one of 15 Galaxy S’s that they are giving away. Also if you buy the phone you get a free Bluetooth headset, and could win a a trip to see Lady Gaga in concert in Vancouver. I have been using a Bell Galaxy S for about a week, and it is simply the best phone I have ever used (I am an Android die-hard, so haven’t used the iPhone 4 yet). We will be posting our unboxing and review of the Galaxy S Vibrant soon, so check back tomorrow.
