Telus launches Samsung Galaxy S Fascinate at Gaming Expo today

With the Holidays just around the corner the release of new phones is almost a daily occurrence. Only two days after the big Windows Phone 7 launch Telus is adding another Android phone to their already impressive line-up of little green robots – the Samsung Galaxy S Fascinate 3G+. The Telus Fascinate (not to be confused with the US only Verizon Fascinate that is slightly different) is basically the same phone as the Bell Galaxy S Vibrant that we looked at a few months ago here, the only change being the move to all capacitive buttons on the front. Sadly it still comes with Android 2.1.

To celebrate the launch of the Fascinate Telus and Samsung are holding a Mobile Gaming Expo today. If you live in Toronto you can head down to Yonge & Dundas square between 11am and 6pm to check out the phone, and to see ‘four World Cyber Game Gold medalists go head to head’. It will be interesting to see what games Samsung are showcasing at event – the Galaxy S phones have the best screen and GPU on the market, but there still isn’t a huge selection of compelling 3D games yet for Android to showcase this power. Hopefully they’ll be showing some new games!

We will be there today, so check back later for our report on the event.
