Three free games, and more, for Playstation Plus subscribers

During E3 2010, Sony announced Playstation Plus, their paid subscription model to match Xbox LIVE.  Since one can already game online for free with PSN, there seemed to be little incentive to pony up the $50 US/year for Playstation Plus, which added the capability to cross game chat, and the promise of exclusive and free content.  It looks like Sony has stepped up to the plate on the latter, and is delivering some solid free content to Plus members, including Critter Crunch, from Toronto based Capybara Games. Canadian Video Game Award winners announced

Dragon Age: Origins took home the top prize of Game of the Year at the inaugural Canadian Video Game Awards.  Though the Bioware RPG took the top award, along with Best Writing, it was Ubisoft Montreal’s Assassin’s Creed II which took the most awards, with Best Console Game, Best Game Design and Best Visual Arts, and shares the award for Best Technology with Prototype, from Radical Entertainment in Vancouver.
