Bumptop bought by Google

Toronto based BumpTop, makers of the 3D desktop interface of the same name, has been acquired by Google.  We’ve talked about Bumptop in the past, as it made for an interesting UI for touch screen computers.  Earlier this year BumpTop appeared on HP’s tm2 convertible laptop, as well as releasing a verison for Mac OS X. Bumptop appears on new HP TouchSmart convertible

The Consumer Electronics Show is gearing up in Las Vegas, and with it comes literally thousands of new product announcements. There’s nothing better in January than looking at the geek toys you’ll be wanting NEXT Christmas. One of the announcements that caught my eye is HP’s TouchSmart tm2.
