While first announced a couple of months back, Bell has now launched the HTC HD7, including availabilty at The Source outlets, or at least the one I passed by when grabbing lunch. With the number of quality games that have already been released for the platform, the larger screen real estate makes for a great mobile gaming phone. Zombies!!! started its (un)life as a unique board game 10 years ago from game publisher Twilight Creations. In that time a number of expansion packs and alternate rules have kept the game fresh. I’ve been a fan of it since almost the beginning, and followed the Yahoo newsgroup for the game for a number of years, including trying out some of the fan suggested alternate rules options. Now Zombies!!! made the transition to a video game on the Windows Phone 7 platform. The adaptation not only captures the feel of the tabletop game for newcomers, but enhances the experience for those who’ve played the tabletop version.

I enjoyed the first two installments of Fable. Though never the most challenging gameplay Peter Molyneux and company managed to draw me into the world of Albion with their unique take on fantasy style role playing and a quirky sense of humour. Fable III is no different, and in many ways an improvement. I think there’s a fundamental flaw with the second half of the game, which can’t be talked about with spoilers, but don’t worry, you’ll be warned.

At GamerCamp this year Shaun Hatton presented the teaser trailer for the new game They Bleed Pixels. Shaun, as DJ Finish Him, is collaborating closely with Spooky Squid Games in composing the music for the game. On Monday, Miguel of Spooky Squid released the teaser to the public, and describes the game as a “fast paced, gothic, low-fi pixel art, platforming beat’em up with a chiptune style soundtrack coming out on Xbox Arcade Indies”.

With Windows Phone 7 just around the corner, it’s no surprise that Microsoft finally announced their first round of international expansion of the Zune service, providing digital entertainment services to more than 20 countries. Not all countries are created equal however. The much vaunted Zune Pass will be available in the UK, France, Italy and Spain, for 9.99 euros.
